Welcome
We are situated within the New National Forest, in North West Leicestershire.
Saint Andrew’s Church Thringstone is a friendly Church aiming to serve the whole community. We have a range of Sunday Services and Children's Clubs and mid week activities.
See our main website for news and up to date information. As regular services occasionally have to be changed, please see the latest newsletter on the website for the current month's service details..
Built in 1862 from the designs of James Piers, the Church has a beautiful simplicity of design. Many of our visitors admire the interior. In the Church grounds can be found the tomb of the philanthropist Charles Booth of Grace Dieu.
The church is open every Thursday for tea, coffee and a chat from 10am till 12 noon, ending with a short service with hymns. Children of all ages welcome.
The Ladies Group meets on the first Monday of the month (except where there is a Bank Holiday). We meet in Church at 7pm and have a variety of speakers and demonstrations on a variety of subjects. This is a time of friendship and fellowship and a warm welcome awaits you. Contact Tel 07514061592
We now have a wheelchair friendly WC inside the church, also a portable ramp to the church entrance.
